I started my private practice to better help clients focus on what is most important to them. Together we create a vision of the future and a step-by-step path to get there. My background in psychology and occupational therapy and my core values of authenticity, purpose, and freedom help others reflect on, create, and initiate their most meaningful life

What is Understory Occupational Therapy?
The understory is the quiet life that exists beneath the surface providing essential foundation, nourishment, and resilience. What we see on the outside is just that - I work with the practical systems underneath the surface like self-awareness, daily routines, energy, body signals, environment, and small practices that make life doable and give it meaning.
What this looks like in practice:
- We look beneath the surface. Rather than just responding to symptoms (like stress, anxiety, and burnout), we get curious about the foundations that create them; your body rhythms, daily demands, environments, and the small choices that have formed habits.
- Practical focus. I favour grounded, evidenced-informed tools that you can actually use; tiny experiments, brief movement and regulation moments, envrionmental tweaks, and routines that fit you and your life.
- Co-design. You are the expert in your life. I bring the clinical knowledge and a curious, non-judgemental approach so that together we can build a plan that feels possible and authentic.
- Sustainable change. I don't believe in quick fixes. We create micro-habits and systems that last. Brains learn through repetition so we focus on protecting energy, reducing reactivity, and bringing your values forward in your everyday patterns.
If you are curious about how tending to the understory of your life could change the canopy above, let's talk.
